high-energy laser weapons
Lasers are being used in many fields, but here we are talking about its military use. Report According to , countries around the world are developing high-energy laser weapons for military operations not only on land and sea but in air and space. These are considered effective and cheaper than missile based weapon systems.
Any laser uses electricity to generate photons or light particles. After the photons are generated, they pass through a material, which creates a waterfall of additional photons and increases the number of photons very rapidly. All photons are then focused into a narrow beam through a beam director.
According to the report, the US Army has developed a truck-based high-energy laser to target multiple targets such as drones, helicopters, mortar shells and rockets. It has been fitted in a vehicle. The American Army had launched four such systems for testing in February this year.
work going on since 1960
Lasers were first unveiled in the 1960s. Since then, scientists and engineers have developed many types of lasers. They produce photons in different wavelengths ranging from infrared to ultraviolet and across the electromagnetic spectrum.
Lasers being used for military use are based on solid-state lasers and use special crystals to convert input electrical energy into photons. One of their specialties is that human eyes cannot see these lasers. The special thing is that no country accepts the use of these weapons.
Speculation after the death of Iranian President!
A user named @DianaWallace888 on social media platform X has linked the Iranian President's helicopter crash to the space laser. His post has received crores of views so far. Many other social media users have presented the theory of space laser in the Iranian President's helicopter crash.
If nobody else is going to say it then I will.
The president of Iran apparently had his helicopter shot out of the sky by a space laser! pic.twitter.com/vLCgsHvDwn
